Qualifiers

This form should be used by students who fall into the following categories and are petitioning for a reinstatement of financial aid funding. Use this form if you are a student who:

  • Has been placed on Academic Probation
  • Has been placed on Federal Financial Aid Suspension
  • Has been enrolled for more than sixteen terms at WPI and has at least nine undergraduate credits remaining in one semester to complete your bachelor’s degree
  • Does not fall into the above categories but has lost a portion of your merit based aid due to academic performance
  • Has been away from WPI for more than one year and wish to appeal for your merit-based aid

Instructions

Before completing this form, please make sure to click here for more information on Satisfactory Academic Progress and the Financial Aid Appeal process:

            1. Discuss the reason(s) for the appeal with your academic advisor.
            2. Please provide an explanation for your appeal in the space provided 
                below.
            3. Submit this form to the WPI Office of Financial Aid no later than:
                • August 1 for the subsequent fall semester 
                • January 2 for the subsequent spring semester 
                • June 1 for the subsequent summer semester 
                
                Note: Financial Aid Appeals will not be reviewed if received after the
                           deadline.
